Teaching Methodology

DSC06271Children at The REACH School experience many learning opportunities throughout the day, in one to one teaching sessions as well as structured small and large group activities.

Our program philosophy is based on the principles of applied behavior analysis. We strive to provide each child with a positive and predictable environment that will support individual development. Progress is measured skill by skill, and data are analyzed daily in order to promote optimal progress.

Learning and generalization are facilitated using scientifically validated methods derived from applied behavior analysis, such as discrete trial instruction, incidental teaching, task analysis, errorless learning, video modeling and activity schedules. We are committed to contributing to research and treatment in the field of autism and applied behavior analysis.

Our mission:

The goal of The REACH School is to foster each child's maximum potential for development through individualized, empirically sound instruction delivered by highly trained staff in a nurturing environment.
